Stars gather to celebrate the rebrand of the ASIRI Chart to the Official Indonesia Chart as part of the launch of the regional hub for South East Asia

Jakarta, Indonesia – 1 May, 2025 – The stars of Indonesian music gathered at The Brotherhood Gunawarman last night as the industry celebrated winners of The Official Indonesia Chart’s Top Local Artists and Top Local Songs in 2024.

The Official Indonesia Chart, which was rebranded from the ASIRI Chart in January, is operated by The International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI). The purpose is to champion local successes and put South East Asia more firmly on the map as a music hub.

The chart publishes the latest rankings every Tuesday and showcases the most popular tracks from local and international artists based on streaming across all major platforms. It’s not just a weekly compilation of data, but also a reflection of the changing dynamics and trends in the music industry.

In addition to the Official Indonesia Chart, the Official Indonesia Domestic chart highlights the top songs in the Indonesian language each week.

Last night’s event, which was all about toasting the top performers on the charts, included a glamorous red carpet, awards ceremony and dinner reception. It provided a spotlight for the elite lineup of chart-topping talents, including Juicy Luicy, Bernadya, Tulus, Mahalini and Tiara Andini.

Rising star Bernadya performed two of her top hits, including “Kata Mereka Ini Berlebihan” and “Satu Bulan”. The latter was ranked #2 on the Top Local Songs of 2024.

Pop band Juicy Luicy won the top accolades, landing Top Local Artist, as well as Top Local Song, with their collaboration with Adrian Khalif on “Sialan” taking the top spot.

Following their win, Juicy Luicy said: “We are honoured to be named the Top Local Artist for 2024 in Indonesia, in the company of so many incredible artists. 2024 was an amazing year for us and we are so excited to bring more music to our beautiful fans this year. We want to thank the Official Indonesia Charts for this recognition, and to ASIRI and IFPI for supporting Indonesian music. But most importantly to our fans – we love you and thank you for being on this journey with us!”

Other top songs of 2024 included “Penjaga Hati” by Nadhif Basalamah, “Tak Segampang Itu” from Anggi Marito and “Pesan Terakhir” from Lyodra.

And aside from unveiling the top music from the past year, the party also enjoyed a performance from The Lantis, who delighted crowds with his two hits “Bunga Maaf” and “Lampu Merah”.

R&B star Aziz Hedra also performed “Somebody’s Pleasure”, whilst Lyodra performed “Sampaikan Rindu”. All last night’s performances demonstrated the undeniable talent across the country and helped make the evening a true celebration of music excellence in Indonesia.

Backed by key players in the recorded music industry, The Official Indonesia Chart combines streams from global platforms Apple Music, Deezer, Langit Musik, Spotify and YouTube. The charts are managed by IFPI, in accordance with global charts principles and methodologies.

It forms part of the Official Southeast Asia Charts – the recently launched regional music hub for the fast-growing Southeast Asia region, which contains the definitive weekly rankings of the hottest songs across Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, The Philippines, Malaysia and Singapore.

Gumilang Ramadhan, Managing Director of Musica Studios and Chairman of ASIRI, said: “Tonight is an important milestone in the development of the Indonesian music market, as we celebrate the success of our local artists and our community. The Official Indonesia Chart will serve as a platform to showcase the incredible talent we have in our country to the rest of Southeast Asia and the wider world, and we look forward to celebrating even more in 2025.”

About the Official Southeast Asia Charts

The Official Southeast Asia Charts are a collection of weekly streaming singles charts – the Official Indonesia Chart, Official Malaysia Chart, Official Philippines Chart, Official Singapore Chart, Official Thailand Chart and Official Vietnam Chart. The data collection week runs from Friday to Thursday, with the charts released at www.officialseacharts.com and on the Official Southeast Asia Instagram and Facebook accounts each Tuesday.

In addition to the official charts for each country, four speciality charts are also delivered each week. In Indonesia, the Official Indonesia Domestic Chart, in Malaysia the Domestic and Chinese Charts, and the Regional Chart in Singapore.

All charts include chart-eligible streams from Apple Music, Deezer, Spotify and YouTube, while the Official Indonesia and Indonesia Domestic Charts also include Langit Musik. In accordance with IFPI’s global chart principles, streams from each market are weighted to take into account the difference in economic value between the free and paid tiers of streaming services. This delivers charts which reflect the volume and the value of streams across the region, celebrating the biggest songs of the week.
