PartTitle A Title by which a Part of a Creation is known.Note: if the Creation is a MusicalWork, this is typically a Title of a section which is not recognised as an excerpt in its own right and does not have its own ISWC.
Party A human or other animal being (real or imaginary), a legal person or an organization capable of playing a role as an agent in an Event. Party includes non-human and imaginary "beings" (for example "Mickey Mouse" or "Lassie") because these may be credited with Contributor or other roles.
PartyComposite A Type of Composite containing details of one or more Parties.
PartyDescriptor A Name, Identifier or Description of a Party.
pcs:PartyDescriptor A Composite containing details of Names and/or Identifiers for a Party.
PartyId An Identifier of a Party.
pcs:PartyId A Composite containing details of an Identifier of a Party. If no namespace is given, the Identifier is a PartyId.
PartyName A Name by which a Party is known.
pcs:PartyName A Composite containing Name details for a Party. Either the FullName or the KeyName must be present at least.
PartyRole A Type of Role played by a Party.
PCS A Producer's Collecting Society.
PcsBaselineSchema An XML Schema comprising several XML Schema files containing the Elements contained in the PCS Data Dictionary and their XML syntactic relationships for use in PCS Messaging Specifications or other PCS Framework Components.
PcsDataDictionary The MetadataSchema providing the canonical definition of all Elements to be used in all PCS MessagingSpecifications and other PCS FrameworkComponents.
Percentage A Rate of parts per hundred, resulting from the division of a Quantity by another Quantity of the same type and a multiplication of the result by 100.
Performer A Performer of a Work.
PerformerRevenue Revenue which is for a Performer of a Work only.
Performing An Event in which a Creation is performed. The Performance may be of a Work or another Manifestation or both (Example: playing a SoundRecording results in a Performance of both the SoundRecording and the Composition which it contains). A performed Work may exist before the Performance (Example: a Performance of Beethoven's 5th Symphony), or it may be created by the Performance (Example: an improvisation).
PerformingPublicly An Event in which a Creation is Performed publicly.
Period A Time between two other Times. Periods in PCS are always described using the pcs:Period Composite.
pcs:Period A Composite containing details about a Period of Time. It must contain at least one out of StartDate or EndDate. The StartDate must be earlier than the EndDate if both are provided.
PeriodOfRightsControl A Period for which a RightsController is controlling Rights in a Resource.
PeriodOfRightsDelegation A Period for which a the control of Rights in a Resource is delegated.
Person An Entity attributed with roles or characteristics of individual human being (and which may or may not be a human being). A Person is usually a real human being, but may also be an imaginary character or an animal (like Mickey Mouse or Lassie) playing the role of a Person (for example, when credited as an Artist). A Person does not have any implied legal status.
PhoneListening An Event in which a SoundRecording is used for listening on a phone (note: this excludes when Content is listened to on multi-technology devices using non-telecommunication technologies, e.g. listening to a radio program with the FM receiver of a mobile phone).
Place A geographical or virtual location.
PlaceComposite A Type of Composite containing details of one or more Places.
PlaceId An Identifier of a Place.
Playback An Event in which the audio and/or visual Content of a Resource is locally reproduced as an analogue signal for listening and/or viewing by an individual or small group. Playback is contrasted to a Broadcast: but note that the distinction between them is one of degree, not type or technology.
Playing An Event in which a Manifestation is Performed or displayed for hearing or viewing through a technological medium.
pcs:PLine A Composite containing details of a (P) notice for a Creation.
PLine A (P) RightsNotice for a Creation.
PLineText The text of a PLine.
PreListening An Event in which a Consumer is enabled to listen to a Recording, or an excerpt of a Recording, for promotional purposes.
PreloadingContent An Event in which a DigitalResource is Delivered in conjunction with the sale or lease of a hardware device (such as a mobile phone).
PrivateCopying An Event in which a DigitalResource is copied for private Usage.
PrivateCopyingLevy Event of a sale of a device or blank Carrier Format on which a levy is applied as compensation for private copying.
Producer A Contributor responsible for the production of a Recording.
ProducerAndPerformerRevenue Revenue which is for a society representing both Performers and Producers of a Recording.
ProducerRevenue Revenue which is for a Contributor responsible for the production of a Recording only.
Product A Manifestation of a Release (or another Resource) which is made available to Consumers, by sale, loan or other means. The attributes of a Release in its digital manifestation as a Product may be technical (for example, the codec or bit rate); a mode of distribution (for example, downloading or streaming); or a commercial term (for example, price).
ProprietaryId An Identifier from a scheme which is proprietary to a particular organization. Example: a CatalogNumber issued by a RecordCompany.
pcs:ProprietaryId A Composite containing details of a ProprietaryId.
ProvideForInteractiveListening An Event in which a Consumer is enabled to listen to a SoundRecording and enhance the experience by interaction with the SoundRecording.
