Party
A human or other animal being (real or imaginary), a legal person or an organization capable of playing a role as an agent in an Event. Party includes non-human and imaginary "beings" (for example "Mickey Mouse" or "Lassie") because these may be credited with Contributor or other roles.

Parents Resource Something which plays a role in a Context but is not a Time or a Place: Resource is therefore the "catch-all" parent for other entities. Resources may be physical, digital or abstract concepts, and include the Products, Releases, Recordings, Works and other human-made Creations which are the objects of creative and commercial activity; but Resource also includes the people or organizations (Parties) who can act as agents, and all forms of tools and materials which may be used or referenced in the processes described within PCS.
Children Contributor A Party making a contribution to the making of a Creation. A Contributor may be an individual person, a group or an organization. A contribution may be of any scale, from being sole creator to playing a minor facilitating role.
Group A group of two or more Persons.
Label A brand name under which a Release is issued and marketed. A Label is a marketing identity (like a Publisher's "Imprint" in book publishing) and is not the same thing as the RecordCompany which controls it, even if it shares the same name. The control of a Label may move from one owner to another.
MessagingParty A Party involved with the processing of a Message (for example, as MessageSender or MessageRecipient).
NationalMember A Party which has assigned relevant rights to a ClaimingSociety for the Territory of the ClaimingSociety.
Organization A Party which may be a Group or a legal entity or both.
Person An Entity attributed with roles or characteristics of individual human being (and which may or may not be a human being). A Person is usually a real human being, but may also be an imaginary character or an animal (like Mickey Mouse or Lassie) playing the role of a Person (for example, when credited as an Artist). A Person does not have any implied legal status.
RecordCompany A Party creating and/or originally making available SoundRecordings in Carriers or DigitalResources for distribution to Consumers, directly or via intermediaries such as Retailers or DSPs. Note that in PCS the role of "RecordCompany" does not have to be played by a limited company" and may be fulfilled by any kind of organization or individual.
RegionalMember A Party which has assigned relevant rights to a ClaimingSociety for several Territories.
RightsController A Party owning or controlling some aspect of Rights in a Creation.
User A Party Using a Creation in some way. A typical example is a broadcaster.
WorldwideMember A Party which has assigned relevant rights to a ClaimingSociety for the world.
Instances PCS A Producer's Collecting Society.
