Namespace
An IdentifierType for a set of Element values. Examples: "ISO 639" for LanguageCodes. A Namespace may relate to an XML namespace (which is a location on the World Wide Web where information is stored), but has a different and broader meaning.

pcs:ArtistProprietaryRole The Namespace of the ArtistRole. This is represented in an XML Schema as an XML Attribute. 1
pcs:CatalogNumber The Namespace of the CatalogNumber. This is represented in an XML Schema as an XML Attribute. 1
pcs:InstrumentProprietaryType The Namespace of the InstrumentType. This is represented in an XML Schema as an XML Attribute. 1
pcs:PartyId The Namespace of the PartyId if it is from a proprietary Party ID scheme. If it is from the PCS namespace, no value is required. This is represented in an XML Schema as an XML Attribute. 0-1
pcs:ProprietaryId The Namespace of the ProprietaryId (Party ID of the relevant PCS). This is represented in an XML Schema as an XML Attribute.The use of the different namespace of each society allows differentiation of the two ProprietaryIDs when both are included in the same message, for example, the DeclarationOfRevenues. This double identification will allow for the declaration of revenues to be directly processed by the sister PCS, using its Proprietary ID as supplied by the declaring PCS. 1
