IFPI reappoints Glen Barros to its Main Board
Glen Barros, the President and CEO of Concord Music Group, has been reappointed to the Main Board of IFPI, the organisation that represents the recording industry worldwide.
Barros has represented North American independent record labels on the Main Board over the past three years.
Concord Music Group, based in Beverley Hills, California and Nashville, Tennessee, has a portfolio of more than 10,000 active album recordings including at least 270 RIAA certified gold, platinum or multi-platinum releases. Its collection also includes 227 Grammy® winners - more than 5 per cent of the Grammy® awards ever presented in the 57-year history of the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences.
The company's active roster includes Paul McCartney, James Taylor, Alison Krauss, Steve Martin and Edie Brickell, Paul Simon, Ben Harper, Seether, Matt Nathanson, Valerie June, Dave Koz, Esperanza Spalding, and Kenny G; and through its partnership with Loma Vista Recordings, Spoon, St. Vincent and Marilyn Manson.
