Job Vacancy: Internet Anti-Piracy Specialist

Reporting to and working closely with IFPI's Internet Anti-Piracy Manager, the successful applicant will be responsible for IFPI's day to day Internet Anti-Piracy operational infrastructure; in particular their responsibilities will be to:

  • Generate and manage piracy leads for further investigation to support direct actions taken by IFPI
  • Liaise with IFPI Members and National Groups to facilitate a common internet anti-piracy strategy
  • Identify and evaluate future threats from the Internet so that IFPI can stay abreast of developing internet trends
  • Monitor and evaluate existing threats so that IFPI can assess the current situation on the Internet

The position requires you to be a team player whilst also having your own specific responsibilities. You must be able to work closely and maintain a professional relationship with the IFPI's Members and National Groups. It also involves promoting IFPI's interests globally (e.g. training seminars and visits to National Groups). Working with the internet means that you are working in a constantly changing environment, and need to be able to deal with unpredictable circumstances confidently.

The ideal candidate must have proven technical knowledge and a thorough understanding of Internet related technologies including protocols, standards, security and communications. The ability to work under pressure is essential and the job holder must demonstrate a high level of creativity, self-motivation and commitment.
