European Legal Advisor

This role is based in Brussels

IFPI's European Office in Brussels represents its member companies on a range of cutting edge issues, from music piracy to trade policy and the information society. We are seeking a European legal adviser.

Main responsibilities: legal advice, lobbying on a wide variety of legal policy issues affecting the recording industry including copyright, e-commerce, licensing, enforcement and data protection.

Applicant should be a qualified lawyer with:

  • at least five years of relevant experience
  • thorough knowledge of copyright
  • good communication skills
  • good understanding of the workings of the EU institutions
  • fluent English with at least one additional European language

The person chosen will be dynamic and up to the challenges that the recording industry currently faces.
