Job title: Internet Anti-Piracy Specialist

Reporting to and working closely with IFPI's Internet Anti-Piracy Manager, the successful applicant will be responsible for IFPI's day to day Internet Anti-Piracy operational infrastructure; in particular his or her responsibilities will be to:

  • Generate and manage piracy leads for further investigation to support direct actions taken by IFPI
  • Liaise with IFPI National Groups to facilitate a common internet anti-piracy strategy
  • Identify and evaluate future threats from the internet so that IFPI can stay abreast of developing internet trends
  • Monitor and evaluate existing threats so that IFPI can assess the current situation on the internet

The position requires you to be a team player whilst also having your own specific responsibilities. You must be able to work closely and maintain a professional relationship with the National Groups. It also involves promoting IFPI's interests globally (e.g. training seminars and visits to National Groups). Working with the internet means working in a constantly changing environment, and the applicant needs to be able to deal with unpredictable circumstances confidently.

The ideal candidate must have proven technical knowledge and a thorough understanding of internet-related technologies including protocols, standards, security and communications. The ability to work under pressure is essential and the job holder must demonstrate a high level of creativity, self-motivation and commitment.
