IFPI strikes agreement with German mastering facility

IFPI has concluded a co-operation agreement with the German mastering facility Master & More.

Between 1997 and 1998, Master & More manufactured 24 unauthorised stampers on behalf of DCD Manufacturing Limited in Israel.

Master & More agreed to pay compensation to IFPI members for these past infringements, and to adopt more effective control measures in the future. These include complying with IFPI guide, Good Business Practices for Optical Disc Mastering and Manufacturing Plants.

Master & More supports IFPI's lobbying of the European Commission for the regulation of optical disc manufacturing and mastering.
