New Communications Director joins IFPI Latin AmericaLondon, August 21, 2001 - IFPI Latin America has appointed Ignacio Meyer to the newly-created position of Communications Director. Meyer, based at the organisation's Miami office, will oversee IFPI Latin America's media campaigns, with particular emphasis on the region's anti-piracy operations. His role will also involve supporting National Groups in Latin America on major publicity campaigns and lobbying efforts. Meyer previously spent two years at eritmo.com, an internet music website, where he was in charge of corporate relations and business development. Prior to eritmo, Meyer worked as marketing communications manager for VISA International, Latin America and Caribbean Region. Meyer earned his degree in Marketing at the University of Miami.
